The Tacoma News Tribune posted a story here and on Instagram on Friday, October 25th, 2024, describing a gentleman being refused service last Thursday at the Hob Nob restaurant on Tacoma’s 6th Avenue because he was wearing a Trump shirt. The TNT quoted the customer as saying “And the manager came up,”… “He said, because his waitress feels uncomfortable, he’s not going to make them serve me.”
In response to questions from the TNT, a restaurant representative was quoted as saying in part “We want to be a safe place for everyone who comes, regardless of beliefs, expression, anything,”. She pledged to make it right with the customer.
